Our classroom celebrated Peace Day on Friday, September 21st. In honor of the day, our classroom participated in a variety of activities.
We:
• Read Peace One Day by Jeremy Gilley. After reading parts of the book, we talked about what we read and how that relates to our "world" (room 106).
• Wrote letters to our troops telling them about Peace Day. Students letters wishing them all peace - wherever they are at.
• Created a peace poster. Each student was able to paint a picture that represented peace or gave a message of peace on our classroom poster. The poster is now displayed in our classroom and is a visual reminder of how we want peace in our room.
