J.J. Hill School was fortunate to win a grant which was used for a
writers residency. Class 204 worked with Rachel Morita for four
sessions in April and May. We learned about the writer's tool kit and
how to use our senses, color, and comparisons to write poetry. Each
student in 204 chose a favorite poem to bring to a final draft. We then
illustrated the poems using oil pastels. Lastly the children's voices
were added to the web page. Enjoy these wonderful poems!
