My greatest passion throughout life has been to teach others. Teaching has been a very special and satisfying responsibility for me. I enjoy working with people and learning about their background and perspectives. The education profession has enabled me to do the two things I value most in a career-- working with people and obtaining new knowledge.

As an educator, I want to do my best to support all children and teachers to be academically and socially successful individuals in our community. As a leader, I feel I have the responsibility to be a positive role model for all children and staff. 

As a parent, I enjoy reading, crocheting, and doing lots of fun activities with my husband and four children.  As my children get older we plan to do more travelling around the country and even around the world. We believe travelling is a wonderful and exciting learning experience. My family at home and my "family" at school are two of my most treasured assets in life. 

I am excited and enthusiastic about my leadership responsibilities at J.J. Hill Montessori. I have had the opportunity to work in the Saint Paul Public Schools district for the last eight years, and feel grateful to be able to serve students in various roles.  As principal of J.J. Hill, it is my goal to ensure my leadership meets the needs of all students according to the Montessori philosophy.  I believe preparing students for life is one of the most important goals in education, and the experiences we provide students must be relevant and meaningful to their development as individuals. Montessori education truly complements my personal beliefs and values in obtaining knowledge and skills. I am committed and dedicated to providing the best Montessori learning experience for all students in our school.
